This is a great way to run in a Rock-n-Roll race close to Sacramento without an overnight trip! Rock-n-Roll races are known for their Rock-n-Roll bands at each mile, their beautiful finisher metals, and their after race music festivals. You even get a free beer at the end of this race...yahoo!!

This flat 13 mile half marathon is walker friendly with a walking limit of 4 hours to complete the race. Here is a link to the race website: San Jose Rock-n-Roll Half.

You will ride to the race in a comfy motor coach bus with reclining seats, extra storage space, and a bathroom! You can leave all your personal items, and a change of clothes on the bus to retrieve at the end of the race before heading over to the music festival. There is room for picnics, ice chests, blankets and pillows.

The bus will pick up at a central location in Sacramento at 4:30 am, and in Davis at the Mace Blvd. Park-n-Ride at 5:00am. Don't moan about the early pick up because you can always sleep on the bus! We will be dropped off at the start of the race and picked up near the finish line. The bus will leave San Jose at 2:30 pm.

Also, another BIG ADVANTAGE is that the RAT Pack will pick up your racing bib for you at the Expo, and give it to you on the bus on race day. No need to pay an extra $30 for race day bib pickup, and you save money by not staying overnight. There is no race day pick up (unless you wnt to pay $30 extra).
