May 9, 2010 Update:

You should have already received your racing bib! Contact me ASAP if you have not yet received your racing bib in the mail. I will be traveling to S.F. next Friday, May 14., and I can pick up your bib for you. You will not be able to pick up your racing bib before the race.

We will be traveling in a very comfortable motor coach bus with a bathroom (thank goodness!). They have very comfy reclining seats with storage bins above each chair. You can leave your personal items on the bus, and the bus driver will be with the bus the entire day.

Many people dress up in costume for this race, so please feel free to be creative!! It can be a lot more fun if you dress up!

Things to bring with you:
1) Your Racing Bib !! Set out your clothes and everything you need for the race the night before, and pin your bib on your shirt!

8) Bring a map (or GPS) if your prone to getting lost like me!
9) A camera to capture all our fun memories!
10) Write down my cell phone number [masked]) and carry it with you. I'll have it with me on race day..

______________________________________________________________________________

This is a one of a kind, and very fun race! love struck I won't spoil the surprise if you haven't done this one before! We will schedule a bus trip to and from the event. If you've ever tried to get to the start of this race on your own, then you know the advantage of being dropped off by a bus.

Click here to see photos from last years bus trip.

We are going to try and fill two buses. However we need 28 people per bus to schedule each bus. Proposed pick up locations: Fair Oaks Fleet Feet, Power Inn/Hw 50 Park n Ride, Davis Fleet Feet, and Vacaville-Fleet Feet. There will also be several runners from Elk Grove that will carpool to the Power Inn/Hwy 50 Park n Ride.

For only $35 you will be transported in a chartered bus (with a bathroom!!) and dropped off near the start of this race and will be picked up near the finish. We should be back by 3:00pm. Tell your friends to sign up for this trip!tongue

You must pay for the bus trip in order to guarantee your space on the bus.

We have a group Registration Discount for our group! Be sure to register for the race yourself

First, you need to pay for the bus trip (by credit card on this site or check mailed to me) and then I'll send you the group discount code. You'll then use that discount code when you register for the race. Don't register for the race until you get the discount code. Email or call me if you want to write a check and I'll give you an address to send the check.

Register for the race and pay on-line at Bay to Breakers 2010].

Is there a designated drop off point in SF? We're trying to meet up with some friends once we get there and it would be great to tell them where we'll be.

Is the Fair Oaks Fleet Feet an actual bus pick up point? We want to drive out there this weekend to find it so we do not get lost next week. Please confirm.

clarification please: above lists Power Inn/Hwy 50 Park n Ride as a departure place, on the registration it listed Fair Oaks and Howe as the place, so which spot do I go to Sun.?

    •  This was my second Bay to Breakers, but my first Bus Trip with Rat Packers. I had the most amazing fun time ever! The bus was on time, easy to find at the end of the race and the envy of my friends that drove to SF. You will be seeing more of me in the near future. Nance Lancaster was organized, consciencious and was very responsive to email questions and concerns. She had the trip under control without overly controlling it. This is the way to do out-of-town runs!

Didn't like having to wait over 30 minutes for someone who couldn't find the bus, especially since we had been at the bus for over an hour already. Definitely liked the bus trip and not having to drive and park in the city. Nice having a bathroom on the bus also. Also liked how close the bus was to the race. It seemed on the map that it was a lot farther.

I had a blast! It was a great time and VERY intertaining! My friends that went with me are already talking about next year. Everyone on the bus was great! Nancy does a wonderful job. I wanted to rate the trip GREAT, but there was one person who was late getting back to the bus by 30 minutes and I did not think that was fair. I know things happen and maybe I don't know the whole story, but one person made 2 bus full of people wait. It wasn't like we didn't all know the buses were to leave at 1 pm sharp. I thought it was very inconsiderate. Other than that the trip was a ball and THANK YOU AGAIN NANCY FOR PLANNING THE TRIPS. I'm sure it is a lot of work.

Excellent trip, as usual! Thanks Frank and Nancy...

My husband and I had a wonderful time. Thank you again. We cannot wait until our next trip. Thank you fro all your hard work.
    •  Some delays returning, but to be expected on this type of journey.

Many thanks to Nancy for organizing this. If I hadn't found this bus trip, I probably would not have gone to Bay to Breakers because transportation from Sacramento seemed challenging without really knowing SF very well. Bus was clean and timely. Trip organizers were always available to reach for questions, and provided maps and safety pins for bibs. Bay to breakers was an interesting event (to put it mildly) that everybody should do at least once!

The trip was great! Nancy thank you so much! I look forward to participating in many more road trips, the company was great and the ride was comfortable, it doesn't get better than that!
    •  This was my very first experience with the Rat Pack as well as the Bay to Breakers. All I can say is that I thought that, with one exception being the poor participant who missed the street to get to the bus in S.F., it was just plain fantastic. The timing to leave the Park N Ride at Power Inn & Folsom went without a hitch, and we arrived in the City in ample time. The buses were ready and waiting for us when we got back to the pick up point in S.F. Kudos to Nancy L. -- you did a magnificient job ..... And I'd definitely like to participate in this particular adventure next year!
    •  Well organized and comfortable. A great experience. Edgar B
