6/10/2010 Update: I will be renting an apartment in downtown S.F. close to the start of the marathon and first half marathon races. Anyone can join me in the apartment the night before the race for $50/night for a bed space or bring a mattress and sleep on the floor for $40/night!

I will be staying the friday and saturday nights before the race also. You can join me on Friday night too. The first people to contact me and pay will be the first to reserve their space. RSVP "yes" now if you want to be included.

I will also arrange a carpool for those not wanting to stay the night for the 2nd Half Marathon.

Here are the race start times: Marathon and 1st Half: 5:30 am, 2nd Half: 815am; 5K/Progressive: 7:45 am.

Marathon race: The race starts and finishes on the Embarcadero, traversing San Francisco. It runs through Fisherman's Wharf, the Marina, across the Golden Gate Bridge (and back), through the Persidio and into Golden Gate Park, through Height Street, Mission, Potrero and Mission Bay Districts, and under the Bay Bridge to the finish line.

1st Half Marathon: This race covers the first half of the marathon course, crosses the Golden Gate Bridge and finishes under the bridge.

2nd Half Marathon: 2nd Half MarathonFlat and fast, the 2nd Half Marathon gives runners a complete tour of Golden Gate Park, and many of the unique neighborhoods that are famous in San Francisco.

Progressive Marathon/5K: Progressive Marathon/5KChoose to run the 5K (a USATF certified course), or track your miles while training for the 5K and earn a medal by signing up for the Progressive Marathon.

The 2nd Half Marathon, and the 5K Progressive Marathon starts near 8:00am, and we will at about 4:30 am.

The Progressive Marathon is a very cool concept used at this marathon. The Progressive Marathon allows you to log your running miles prior to the event. You then run the 5K at the event and get a Progressive Marathon Metal...how cool is that!!

You must register for the race yourself. We will have a a team discount set up for this race, so don't register for the race until you see the information posted here.
