DESCRIPTION:Running Adventures Travel Club  "The RAT Pack"\n\nThis will be 
 a five day trip leaving on Thursday\, October 7\, 2010\, and returning on M
 onday\, October 11\, 2009.  Race day is Sunday\, October 10\, 2010.  You ca
 n arrange to stay longer or less days.  We will rent a home or apartment cl
 ose to the race start.  We will take 4-8 people on this trip.  The accommod
 ations will be about $70/night/person.  \n\nRSVP now either "yes" or "maybe
 " if you think you want to participate in this trip. \n\nHere is what the r
 ace website says about the race:  For many years the Portland Marathon has 
 been rated as one of the premier marathon events in the United States. It h
 as been ranked as one of the top 10 local road race events in the U.S\, and
  one of the top 40 races of all types and distances. \n\nRunner's World has
  called the Portland Marathon "the best people's marathon in the West" and 
 for the past ten years has ranked it as one of the top 10 or 15 marathons i
 n the country. Runner's World also states that "perhaps more than any other
  running event in the country\, this race keeps evolving\, keeps getting be
 tter". Runner's World has chosen the Portland Marathon as the "Race of the 
 Month" and said the event is one of the "friendliest\, best organized\, mos
 t family-oriented races in the country." \n\nThis is the first year that th
 e race is offering a Half Marathon.  There are only 412 slots left in the H
 alf marathon and it is expected to fill by January 31\, 2010. \n\nYou must 
 arrange your own airline reservations. Southwest offers roundtrip airfare f
 or about $200.  You won't be able to make airline reservations until 6 mont
 hs before the trip. \n\nYou must register for the race yourself at: Portlan
