Here is what the race website says about the race: For many years the Portland Marathon has been rated as one of the premier marathon events in the United States. It has b een ranked as one of the top 10 local road race events in the U.S\, and one of the top 40 races of all types and distances. Runner's World has calle d the Portland Marathon "the best people's marathon in the West" and for th e past ten years has ranked it as one of the top 10 or 15 marathons in the country. Th e RAT Pack will be forming several relay teams for the California Internati onal Marathon (CIM). Sign up individually and we'll put you on a team or enter your four member team here! You can walk or run this relay. RSVP " yes" and answer the automated questions so that we can place you on teams b est suited for you. The four-person relay will begin at 7 a.m. on Sunday\, December 5\, 2010\, near the Folsom Dam in Folsom. The scenic 26-mile\, 38 5-yard course runs from Folsom Dam to the State Capitol in Sacramento. Eac h relay team consists of four runners. The approximate distance of each leg is as follows: #1 - 5.9 miles\; #2 - 7.6 miles\; #3 - 7.0 miles\, #4 - 5.7 miles.
