Join the Rat Pack Runners for a fun Inaugural running event in Oakland! Here is the description on the race website:

"Experience all the sights and sounds that Oakland has to offer at the new Oakland Running Festival featuring Oakland's first marathon in 25 years! Runners will begin on Broadway, race along Piedmont and College Avenues, pass through beautiful Lake Temescal and then tackle the hills of Montclair. After a breaktaking view of the Cities by the Bay, runners will journey throught the vibrant neighborhoods of Fruitvale, Chinatown and historic Jack London Square. Then it's a final lap around sparkling Lake Merritt and a sprint to the finish at City Hall."

Relay Runners: Let us know if you want to be assigned to a Relay Team, and we will form one for you!

We will charter a bus if we get at least 26 paid participants. Otherwise, we will get a 12-15 passenger van or carpool. Please RSVP now "yes" or "maybe" if you think you might want to go. It helps me to plan the trip. Only those that have paid $35 for the trip will secure their place on the bus.

You must register for the race yourself at the race website: Oakland Running Festival. However, don't sign up until I try to get a group discount. I will update this page soon with more information on discounts.

Arrive at least 10-15 minutes early. We will leave exactly at the times posted below.

5:00 am - Bus picks up at Mace Blvd Park n Ride, Davis, CA
2:00 pm - Bus leaves Oakland
3:00 pm - Bus drops off at Mace Blvd, Park n Ride, Davis
3:30 pm - Bus drops off at Safeway Parking Lot, 424 Howe Ave, Sac, CA
4:00 pm - Elk Grove carpool runners return to Elk Grove
