4/11/2010 Update:  You can only add to this event from a Waiting List status.  Two of the three buses are full.  Bus #3 has 10 more spots.  If you want to ride on Bus #3, RSVP and pay, and I'll move you manually from the Waiting List to Bus #3.  I will reserve another bus if 28 more people add themselves to the Waiting List (for other than Bus #3).  There is a lot of interest in this trip, so there is a good chance that another bus will be reserved.  You will be re-imbursed if you pay and the additional bus is not ordered.  The additional bus will follow the same route as Bus #2 below.  See more details on the trip below.
____________________________________________________________________

4/10/2011 Update:  The buses only have a few seats left.  Here are the number of seats left on each bus:
Bus #1 (Hwy 80 corridor: Roseville, Watt/80/Davis,):  5 seats left
Bus #2 (Hwy 50 Corridor: Hwy 50/Hazel, Hwy 50/Power Inn, Davis):  6 seats left
Bus #3 (Hwy 99 Corridor: Stockton/Elk Grove):  9 seats left

When these buses fill any remaining people will be put on a  "Waiting List".  Once the Waiting List reaches 28 People, I will order another bus that will follow the same route as Bus #2.

4/03/2011 Update
: We have added a pick up location in Stockton and Sheldon Road, Elk Grove.  Please be familiar with the Bus departure times below.  Please send a message if you want to change your bus pickup location to Stockton or Sheldon Road.

** Please note:  Race registration is still open, but will be closed shortly.  There is still plenty of room on the buses.  You don't need to be registered for the race to ride the bus.  I'll send out an email in a couple weeks providing more detail on our trip.

With the start of the race at 7:00am now, will 4:30am for the bus be early enough?

Hi Nancy and other Rat Packers,
Shanon has a very good question.

If there are any members who live closer to the Stockton area (Lodi, Manteca etc) and Nancy is willing, I'd help her host a bus from the Stockton area.

Tony Vice from Fleet shoes in Stockton was interested in using his place last year as a pick-up place for the bus. I am sure he will do it this year if you ask him.

Should we do a 4am? Don't really like waking up earlier than needed, but hey if you're doing the driving I will do it!

HI Lhia, The race starts at 7am, and the race organizers advised me to be in SF. by 6 am. Some locations will have pickups at 3:30am and others 4am. The buses will start farthest east on Hwy 80 and Hwy 50. If you catch the bus in Davis then you won't have to get there until 5:00 am! I will update the departure times for the different locations soon....Nancy

Donna & Jeanette, we would have to get a minimum of 35 people from the Stockton area to schedule a bus from that area. Bay to Breakers is the same day as Avenue of the Vines Half Marathon, and some of the Stockton running stores promote the Ave. of the Vines Race, and aren't as willing to support Bay to Breakers..

Won't let me be counted in if I'm paying by check. Getting on at Roseville Sunsplash.

Nancy - any possible chance of an earlier bus heading back. We are suddenly running into obstacles, daughter's piano recital in afternoon and trying to figure out options. Thought I would at least ask.

Lhia: Don't think separating the buses will work. There will be walkers on both buses and they need a longer time to finish. What time do you need to be back to Sacramento? Brooke: thanks for the update.

Please RSVP and pay for two seats. Note that you want to pick up in Stockton. At the worst you would need to drive to the Hwy 50 and Power Inn location, but its looking better for a Stockton pickup..
