  •  Hey I'm new to this meet up but, I was just reading that Courtney Ward is trying to get out of her BSB ticket as she will be out of town. Good Luck.

  •  Hi Michael,
The book is Marble Mt Wilderness by David Green published 1980. It has a grid listing hikes by ranger district, length, trail head, lakes and if they are suitable for day trip, overnight, 2-3 days or 3-4 day backpack.

  •  Yeah - sorry about that. I have a habit of doing that to people!

  •  Hi Michael - sorry to catch you off guard today on the trail! I recognized your two running companions - we met prior to last Sunday's run at Karens (June 13th). Good to see you out on the bike trail - it was a hot one today, though.

  •  I would like to meet up with you at the hatchery in the mornings. I'm a teacher and will be available every morning as of 6/7/10. I run around 9-10 min miles, 6-10 miles.

  •  Hi Michael,
I just saw that you posted Marble Mountains. I've got to check in with my boss Monday to see if I can get the time off since I'm already going to gone 7 days over the 4th of July holiday! Hope you still have space then.

  •  Great trip Michael. And I would definitely like to hear more about some of your extensive traveling. I'm already shopping for some gear upgrades for upcoming trips, such as your Trinity Alps trip. Elizabeth gave me some tips.

  •  Back atcha big guy. Your sweet dogs were such troopers. I still have a bootie and sock. I'll bring them on our next hike together.

  •  Hi Michael! Thanks for the congrats. I never saw your original message sent Jan 21 until now. So, it's not about not wanting to run with you silly. I'm not logged in to FLTR very often. I get the meetup notices on my phone. I keep intending to join a couple of the runs and will soon !

  •  I will check out the articles--I forgot to open them. Let's meet, talk about a plan and see if we can make it work as a weekly thing. I'll tell you about my problems with mornings when we meet Wednesday. Fish Hatchery at 8:15.

    nancy sahrakar (Mar 12, 2010 3:07 PM)
  •  It looks like I can joing you next Wednesday. I want to learn how to do hill repeats, as I have never done them and need to learn how. If this works out would you be interested in making Wednesday mornings a weekly workout and we can post them for the FTRs? The earliest I could meet at the hatchery is maybe 8:15a. Is that okay? Keep in mind that my pace is slower than yours (10:30 or maybe a bit faster) Are you okay with that too?

    nancy sahrakar (Mar 11, 2010 2:03 PM)
  •  Hi Michael,
As it turns out, I can't go with Bryan. He change the night to Wednesday. I am unfortunately also busy both tomorrow and Wednesday morning, but for the future, what time do you run in the morning typically? I can try to put it on the calendar for next week.

  •  Hi Michael,
Great to hear from you. I would love to set up a run time. Hope I can keep up and look forward to seeing you soon

  •  Michael,
That sound like a great idea for a hill repeat. I wanted to get them going in the FTR's weekly/monthly regimen because I think most people appreciate hill work. I don't know a whole lot about starting a hill repeat workout but I told Diane and Bryan that I would love to start something with their help.
Anyway in response to your question--that sounds like a really good workout and I could join you if I am not busy. Let me know a day and time.

  •  Hey Michael - its Lynn - met you at the trailhead with my Aussie - Halle! We had a good hike! Dropping the hubby off on Friday not Saturday. But now have to line up Babysitting. So hope to make it. And oh my gosh - there was so much dog droppings up there - i couldn't beleive it. I want to call the Forest Service and see what I can do to help get some signs or soemthing for people to be responsible!
