Announcing a new Meetup for Running Adventures Travel Club "The RAT Pack"!

What: Grandma's Marathon Trip (Full/Half/5K) - Duluth, MN

Where: Duluth, Minnesota

RAT Pack Organizer, Nancy Lancaster, will be going to the Grandma's Marathon next June, 2010. Join her on this very popular marathon trip and share accomodations in a rented home near the race start.

We will be leaving on Thursday, June 17, 2010 and returning on Tuesday, June 22, 2010. The races are on Saturday June 19, 2010. 6-8 people will share accomodations, and you must make your own airline reservations.

Here is the description on the website:
"Grandma's Marathon is a point-to-point course run along the beautiful north shore of Lake Superior. The 26.2-mile stretch begins on scenic Old Highway 61, just outside Two Harbors, Minnesota and finishes in Duluth's Canal Park. Enthusiastic volunteers, spectators and live entertainers line the streets to cheer runners on as they stride to the finish line."

RSVP now "yes" or "no" if you think you might like to attend this trip. It helps me to plan. You can pay for the accomodations later next year. Past RAT Pack trip accomodations were between $50-70/night (mush cheeper than a hotel!). Also, all rentals will include a kitchen for cooking to save more cash! I'll update this webpage as plans are formalized.
